Nifty-keen!
Finally, a decent use of frame technology (that is, it has been ignored.)

I truly feel like a 90's guy, with a picture on the Web and all that.
Now, if I only had a modem of my own...

What about your 300 baud Apple II modem?

Message from Jeremy Martin Hill (jmhill@toto.csustan.edu).
Received from 130.17.2.209 on Friday, April 18, 1997 - 01:35:13 pm.

Alas, I wanted to buy a lightning fast 300 baud modem (meanwhile dreaming of the
inconceivable joy of a 1200 baud device.) Unfortunately, my mother saw War Games
and just knew that I would use my computer for world domination (or worse.)

Great site. First referred to it by friend telling me of the Mission Statement Generator. Well done. I've also told a couple dozen friends about it. And I added a few clicks to the abacus just to watch it work.

Hi again. Forgot to suggest that you arrange your guest book like a pushdown stack. Or inverse chronological if you prefer. I find that much easier to use, as hate to have to scroll forever to get to new stuff. If I'm in Compulsive Librarian mode, I can always go to bottom and scroll UP.

Yeah, I'm a librarian geek.

see ya....next time we come to Livermore to visit relatives. You've been warned.

What a lovely website, read most of your messages and got some Youd contacts. I am from Liverpool, UK now living in Dorset, UK.
By the way, some people wonder where we originate from.
The first "YOUD" landed in Devonshire around 1400. They were escaping from the persecution in France, we are Flemish/Dutch.
The name was spelt with a J but is pronounced Y. Sometimes the J or Y was left off giving us UDE.
More power to the Youd Zone.

Didn't know there were so many Youds out there! Being only 1 of 4 on Jersey, it seems quite odd to see so many other people with the same surname. Liked the site - good work!

Hello Youds.
I've enjoyed reading all the posts from all the Youds in the world. There is a healthy group of Youds living in Central Utah in a community called Lake Shore. We actually were one of the first families to settle the area in the 1800's.
Going to England in Nov. and hope to see others there.

Weston Heather, and Paige Youd

I'm excited to see that there are more of "us" out there! I'm actually a Youds (rhymes with clouds), not a Youd, but close enough! I thought my immediate family were the only ones. I guess I was wrong.

Hi Fun Son, I haven't visited your web page for a long time. I clicked on to the Mission Generator to show my friend, Shauntay, and we got on to something called Gravity Direct, I think. I clicked out because I couldn't get back to you. Anyway we had fun looking around. She may come visit your Youd Zone sometime. We'll see you Sunday. Love, Mom

David -
Give the little woman my love. I have been lusting over the drop-down menu on your "Find Friends" page for the last six months and finally found a place to swipe the HTML for a similar one. Your site never fails to amuse me.
Thanks,

Hi guys, I'm a Youd (that rhymes with "rude", not "loud" - I think you've got it wrong on your site) from England trying to find something out about other Youds. If any Youd could e-mail me with any information they have about Youds, I'd be very grateful.

Well, the inevitable has happened. For 6 years, this guest book was a fun way to get feedback from those who would otherwise not send email. But folks with maturity and IQ levels far left of the bell curve (i.e. Iain Youd) have convinced me that I'm too busy to moderate such things. So to simplify site management, this form will no longer work. It's been a lot of fun though.
This is David, signing off.
